United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) announced on March 31, 2026, they had reached the H-1B Cap for Fiscal Year 2027 (“FY 2027”). The Service reported that it has received sufficient registrations to reach the congressionally mandated limits for the H-1B visa regular cap, as well as the advanced degree exemption (master’s cap) for FY2027and has completed the lottery selection process.
Employers who submitted registrations, along with their legal representatives, have now been notified of the lottery results and can review the status of each submission through their USCIS online registration accounts. USCIS has not yet released the total number of registrations submitted for this cycle, but the agency confirmed that the volume was sufficient to reach the statutory limits.
We will continue to monitor updates from USCIS, including any announcement regarding total registration numbers or the possibility of additional lottery rounds, if needed. For those not selected in this year’s lotter, there are other options to explore.
