Once in a while Liz gets out of the office to visit clients. This week she and Protima ventured out of New York on Amtrak (see how excited Liz was) for client meetings. They covered a wide range of topics at the meetings—everything from how Trump's travel ban effects our client to overviews about the J-1 program—and in return got a tour of their very cool offices. Liz enjoyed the paint brushes installation and lovely chandelier but a favorite was the beehive made out of newspaper and textiles. All in all, it was a good day. Now back to work, Liz! You can go out next year!
Springtime in Firenzi
Taking a short break from meetings in London, I visited the beautiful city of Florence. The Piazzale Michelangelo, in the Oltrarno district of the city, features an incredible panoramic view of the city. You can see the Duomo, aka the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, a vast Gothic structure with the Renaissance dome added later. To the left is the Campanile and over the Arno River is the city's most well known bridge, Ponte Vecchio, featuring houses and many jewelry stores. Maybe I'll pick up some presents for the office…
5 Reasons Everyone Should Visit Connecticut
As a native Connecticuter (along with Lizzie B), I am a huge fan of this New England state. I grew up in the quiet northeastern corner of Connecticut and while I live in New York City now, I always make time to visit.

The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa in a lava field in Grindavík in southwestern Iceland. Originating at 2,000 meters below the surface where freshwater and seawater combine at extreme temperatures, the geothermal water is then "harnessed via drilling holes at a nearby geothermal power plant, Svartsengi, to create electricity and hot water for nearby communities." The geothermal water is composed of three active ingredients—silica, algae, and minerals—and the blue color comes from the way the silica reflects sunlight (algae in the summer may also produce a hint of green), but if the water is poured into a transparent cup, it will have a milky white color! The water is supposed to be great for your skin, but I wouldn't drink it.
